Why Do I Need A Consultation?

A: Consultations usually allow time for the client to tell the therapist what they are looking for and if the therapist is not the best fit, the therapist is usually willing to make a referral to a specialist. I find many potential clients are a bit apprehensive about therapy and finding a therapist. Consultations are like ice breakers they provide a low pressure opportunity for questions to be asked and answered.

Is Online Therapy the Same as Therapy in the Office?

A: Both online therapy and in-person therapy have benefits and drawbacks. Online therapy is accessible to new parents who are unable to find a sitter. The amount of time spent in session is the same as if you were to spend time in a physical office. Online therapy also allows access to clinicians that may be a better fit (that’s me :). I value keeping a small caseload to support the needs of my clients. I curate wellness plans for those ready to invest in their emotional well being.
